I have a Nikon Coolpix Camera, and I just tried to plug it into my macbook computer, but I can't find it. There's no icon that I can click on to open up the file for downloading my pictures. I can tell that it is plugged in though because there's a light on the top of my camera that shows me it's charging. Please help! I don't know how to download pictures from it.
Manual Download Agreement. These Download Terms and Conditions ('Agreement') constitute a legal agreement between you (either an individual or single entity) and Nikon Corporation or its associated company ('Nikon') setting forth the terms and conditions governing your download of the operation manual for our products (“Manual”).
Why don't you just use a card reader?
Depending on computers and cameras to talk automatically can be problematic.
Using your card reader and the computers file manager actually can copy image files from memory cards faster the from a camera
A card reader is definitely the easiest way to get pics off of your camera, and card readers are relatively inexpensive.
Did you install the software/drivers that came with your camera? I have many Nikon products and they typically only work with their proprietary software. One of the flaws of Nikon. If you don't have the original software discs the software to download your pics from your camera should be available at www.nikon.com.
Good luck!
